As we continue to grow and aim to be one of the leading clubs in the country, we are delighted to announce that starting January 2025 we’ll be welcoming a new full-time coach to our team! This addition ensures more personalised attention, enhanced training opportunities, and an overall better experience for our fencers.

To support this growth and maintain the high-quality coaching, we are introducing a new membership structure, designed to make planning easier for families and coaches alike.

What’s Changing?

We are moving to a term-based commitment with two payment options:

  1. Pay upfront for the full term (best value!)

  2. 3 Monthly payments (5% more)

While card payments are available, bank transfers are preferred to help reduce costs.

Why This is Great for You

• More Training Opportunities: With a second full-time coach on board, there will be more individual lessons and focussed classes.

• Tailored Progression: We’re rolling out a tiered coaching system to match every fencer’s age, experience, and competitive level. This ensures each athlete gets the attention and support they need to grow.

• No Price Increases if you pay for the term in advance! Even with our rent increasing, we’re committed to keeping pricing equal to the value of the coaches time and expertise.

Membership Details

Level 1 (Beginners): Monthly membership remains at £80 for up to two sessions per week – no changes here!

Level 2 & 3 (Intermediate & Advanced): These levels will follow the new termly structure, factoring in breaks for half-term holidays.

  • Sibling discounts available

  • You cannot opt out of lessons, they are an integral part of the learning process.

Extra Individual Lessons:

o Assistant Coaches (Marius and Drew): £20 per lesson

o Head Coach Stuart Marshall: £30 lesson

Why Commit to Termly Membership?

By committing to termly payments, you’re securing your fencer’s place in a group and with a coach, ensuring continuity, and by supporting our academy’s ability to plan effectively for competitions, camps, and payroll.

Plus, this model helps us keep class sizes optimal and lessons more focused.

Bonus Perks:

• Half-term and end-of-term breaks will now feature essential training camps, providing additional opportunities for growth and fun!

• Our Fencers will receive individualised attention within their group to ensure they’re on the right track to achieve their goals.

• Level Assignments: All fencers will be assigned to a group/level by the head coach based on their age, experience, grading and competitive level. If you would like your child to advance to a higher level, you’re welcome to schedule a meeting with the head coach to discuss their progress and goals.

We’re excited about the future and can’t wait to see the incredible growth and achievements our fencers will make with these updates! Your support means everything to us, and together, we will continue to build this great community.
